The Gang together!

My mum keeps my old dog Oban, as being nearly 13yrs old he's not quite so fit for my stairs. But he manages to join us for short walks round the fields.
Not easy getting a picture of them all looking at the same time.

Scottish Utility Breeds Open Show/Oct 09

Gigha at 8months just winning a 3rd place.
Logie wins another Best Import Register at Scottish Utility Breeds open show. Little Gigha won a 3rd behind Logies sister Tinky. Seems eurasiers are getting quite popular as there was more of them than Akitas entered! It was lovely day of sunshine but i think it must have been the coldest place in Scotland that day. Bbrrrr!!

Back to the norm!

Gigha had a couple of weeks holidays at granny Pearls, but here she is settling in back at home on my bed!Its a dogs life!!!

Here he is with the Best In Show winner who came all the way from Elgin. "These dog shows are getting boring now!"
"I can't help it if im stunning"

On wur Jaunts!

We took a runny to Alford for the day. I was meant to be doing my books but the weather was too nice to be sat indoors. But it was nice to let Chucky dog see her sisters.

On wur jaunts!

We popped in past to visit Gighas litter sisters. As i cant see their collars i cant tell you which one is which. They are colour coded!! However Gigha is sitting on the bunker.
Gighas two sisters

Logie, Corrie(Logies Mum), Tinkerbell (Logies sister) Gigha and Arran. The dogs were being driven mad by flies that were buzzing round their heads and eyes, hence no-one looked at the camera.

Soggy dogs!!

Jana and Gigha enjoying the moat.

The dogs obviously at home in their grand surroundings of Duffus Castle!
Sadie enjoyed her swim in the moat.

Jenny prepares the dogs for their photo shoot! Look at that rear movement!!!

Logie and Jana let off steam!

Its nice to see them all play together. Gigha needs a bit of speed to catch up wi these guys!

Best Import at Dundee Premier Open Show!

Logie and I hitched a lift from our dear friend Katrina (Glenfound collies) down to Dundee Premier Open Show. Little bit of a hiccup to start with as we couldnt find our entry in the Import class. However a quick check of the catalogue and we found that Logie had been enterd into Pomeranian Graduate!!! Anyway that didnt put him off as he still managed to win Best Import against some unusual breeds like the cirneco and rarer, slovakian rough haired pointers.

House sitting!

Last weekend saw us house sitting for our friend Lesley down at her kennels nr Forgue. As you can see Logie settled in just fine! However on the first day of Lesley leaving we experienced some freak downpours. The results were spectacular as the burn swell and flooded surrounding fields and roads.
This was the burn the day after it flooded. Though normal in size its a lot deeper than before!

The Sheps investigate the field disapearing. Great quick access to the burn!

The burn should be just behind the tips of the fence! Phil (neighbour) tries to venture with his van but chickened out. The road was submersed in water and silt and had to cleared by a JCB the following morning!

The cows on the other side begin to panic!

Border Union 2009!!

At the weekend we made the journey done to Kelso for Border Union Championship show 2009! Logie, Gigha and i hitched a lift with Jenny, Ria and the gang in Jennys new van. The dogs all seemed quite comfy in there with plenty of space for all our gear.

This was to be our digs for the weekend. Grooming tables are handy things for cooking on and saving the drink from being knocked over!!

Logie bear does it again with another Res Best Male Import. This time he was beaten by a Bergamasco for best dog. However it made him the highest placed Eurasier there. His sister Piper won Junior Bitch with Tinkerbell 2nd.

Our Thanks to Mr T Mather who Judged him.

Border Union 2009!!

Jasper was entered in Junior dog and he never put a paw wrong. He and Ria got a 2nd which qualifies for Crufts 2010. Not content with that he got a 1st in his second class Novice dog!Well done that Pug!!!!

Then it was Sadies, Forguecroft Quick as a Flash, turn in the ring. After running for quite some time round and round the ring and up against some strong competition ,our little lady managed a 4th in Puppy Gsd.Well done!

We took the scenic route on the way home over the Cairn o Mount. It was an amazingly clear sunny day and the view was breathtaking! Of course Logie couldnt help being part of the scenery!

This is Eve an Akita pup whom we took home to Scotland for friends of ours. This is Foley! He is a Bullmastiff pup, and i couldav just taken him home too.

After leaving the show we had to navigate ourselves out of a busy Dublin, but it gave me an oppertunity to take some pics of the sights!

Euro Show 2009 Dublin!!!

Hello Ireland!
Bye bye Troon!

Troon ferry terminal.

Another weekend away on our travels heading for Dublin Euro Show 2009!
This was our first European show so i had mixed feelings about going. There seemed to be a different kind of atmosphere there, what with all the overseas exhibitors. There was no 'aye aye fit like the day?' But the chatterings of many different foreign languages. However our Irish friends made us very welcome.
We stayed near Ballymoney up in the North, so this was a great opportunity to see Ireland as we travelled south to Dublin. Its a magnificent country with breathtaking scenery.

SKC May 2009

Well Logie did it again at SKC, Ingliston. Even though it had been pouring rain and gale force winds it didn't knock him off his stride. He was crowned Best Import puppy and Res Best Dog. I guess you could say Best Male Eurasier as he was beaten by a Logotto (gundog breed) for Best Male.

Funny Photos!

No i haven't been stung by a bee! Just finished yawning! Heehee
Can you see me!

May 09

Home Sweet Home!

Yes the boys are fair at home lying on the lawn after a nice long walk! They wish! This is a view from the other side of Cullen House. The smaller buildings to the right of the big house used to be the Kitchen and Pantry. It has all since been converted into appartments and privately owned. It would have been some house in its day and employed quite a lot of people from the area.

On wur usual jaunt!

A view of the West tower from Charlies Bridge at Cullen house.
It was lovely to see the grounds full of Bluebells.

We came across this unusual tree. Have you ever seen a branch shaped like this?

On wur usual jaunt!

A view of the Bin Hill where the are some lovely walks. Also in view is Home Farm.
A glimpse of Old Cullen house which was once home to the Earl of Seafield. Now he stays next door in a slightly smaller abode.

This is a shot of the "Claypots bridge" which lies just inside the grounds of Seafield estate. We used to play here a lot as kids. Its one of my favourite spots and the dogs love it too.
