Caledonian 2009

Another weeken

d away saw us down to Ingliston to Caledonian open show. Again the Av Import class followed quickly on from the Av Veterens so there was no hanging about. Thankfully Logie was on the ball and took Best import register.

It seems we were lucky to come home with a rosette as some of the other class winners only got a piece of card!

After judging Logie and Jana got a chance to let off steam outside!

Bon Accord 2009!

January also means Bon Accord open show. A favourite of ours, though it feels odd not have a Gsd by my side. Import class was 1st in the ring so not much chance to get settled before hand. This time we were up against Corrie and Tinkerbell in the same class! All they did was want to play! So we shall need to get practicing! Logie managed to beat his mum for Best Import this time.

I had also entered a class which was new to this show,Ladies Adult handling. As we came 3rd this was a qualifier for a competition in Coventry 2010! EEk!

Manchester 2009

Next show up was Manchester Championship show Jan 2009! Logie and i shared travelling with Sue and Elizabeth in Elizabeths motorhome together with 7dogs! We must be mad! Again we had some awful wind and rain on the way down. We managed to get parked up right outside the Stafford County showground where it was held. Utility and toy dogs were judged on the Saturday,Gundogs Sunday. Again we had another run of success, after winning his class Logie went on to win Best Import Puppy and Res Best Dog!

We (Pearl, Logies breeder and i) made the long journey to Birmingham to Logies 1st show along with his sister Tinkerbell and his mum Corrie. It was Ladies Kennel Association Championship show (LKA) held at the NEC. It was a horendous journey down with wild winds and torrential rain. I could hardly see the road at times for the spray off the lorries. We left at 8.30pm and arrived at the NEC for 5am though they wouldnt let us in the carpark til 6am!Even the carpark was like a river when we arrived. However the journey was worth it when Logie won his class. His brother Maverick was there too and he came 4th. Tinkerbell seemed a bit overwhelmed by it all though she was shortlisted from 13 entries. However Corrie showed her socks off and after winning her class was crowned Best female!

What good pigment you have Logie!!!!

Bin Hill walk

We met up with Sue, who had Louis, Teazle and Jana; and Jenny who had Kiera, Brint and Jasper, up the Bin Hill at Cullen. We got a few strange looks from a couple of people who met us on the way down.It was a bit windy mind but on a clear day you can see for mile up there.

Arran officially retired from the ring

Thats Arran retired at the age of 9yrs from the show ring to make way for Logie bear! He has done me proud and he ended it on a high after winning the pastoral group at Highland. Even at 9 he won Best of Breeds, with several best veteren in groups in 2008!Now its time to relax and unwind.X
